Full-Stack Software Engineer

Hyperion Intelligence (Hyperion) is seeking highly motivated and experienced engineers to join our team in building AI-enabled FinTech applications for the private markets. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on complex technical problems, build new features, and improve existing products. You will play a key role in taking responsibility for designing, developing, and maintaining both front-end and back-end web applications. Key requirements include expertise in front-end technologies, back-end languages, DevOps practices, and database management. The role also demands strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills to deliver secure and scalable solutions to our rapidly expanding universe of private markets FinTech customers.

Our Stack

Frontend: Next.js 12, React 17, TypeScript/JavaScript, Bootstrap

Backend: Node.js 18+, PostgreSQL with Prisma, Supabase, Inngest

AI/LLM: Claude, OpenAI, Grok, Llama 4 on Modal, LangChain, DocLing, Custom AI agents

Integrations: QuickBooks, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Xero, Stripe, Financial Data APIs, Institutional Banks (Partner APIs)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally to build innovative application experiences
• Build React components for financial dashboards and visualizations
• Develop Node.js APIs integrating accounting platforms and financial data
• Maintain Python AI services deployed on Modal infrastructure
• Create and enhance AI agent tools (web search, document processing, analysis)
• Optimize AI response quality and user experience
• Analyze and optimize code for quality, efficiency, and performance, and provide feedback to peers during code reviews
• Help deploy efficient and scalable systems that drive complex applications
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
• Support technical relationships with enterprise partners, coordinating API integrations, development team interactions and smooth code-level collaboration

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of programming experience in a relevant language
• Experience working on a variety of coding languages and technologies including Next.js, React, Python, Node.js, PostgreSQL, LangChain
• Demonstrated experience working on complex technical projects
• Experience utilizing data and analysis to explain technical problems and provide detailed feedback and solutions
• Comfortable communicating technical requirements with internal developers and team members
• Full-Stack Mindset: Thrive working across frontend, backend, and infrastructure
• High-Agency: Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and the ability to operate effectively with limited guidance. High-agency individuals take responsibility for results, anticipate needs, and move projects forward independently while collaborating thoughtfully with others.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with accounting and financial data integrations
• Experience building maintainable and testable code bases including API design and unit testing techniques
• Understanding of information retrieval concepts, such as indexing, querying, and ranking
• Experience with machine learning and/or AI/LLM tools
• Serverless infrastructure experience (Modal, AWS Lambda)

Compensation

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.

$42/hour to $100,000/year + bonus + equity
